Gracie Sanchez

Gracie is double majoring at UNC in Political Science and Journalism with a concentration in Political Communications. In this program, she’s spent the last few years figuring out how stories actually get told, and who exactly gets to tell them.

At UNC, she serves as Director of Membership for the Carolina Transatlantic Forum for Education and Diplomacy. Outside, she sits on the Junior Board Communications Committee for Her Bold Move, an organization dedicated to empowering women through politics. She has also studied abroad twice, most recently at King’s College London, bringing that global perspective back to the local politics that shape everyday life.

This summer, Gracie is an intern in Senator Cory Booker’s office, giving her a front-row seat to the legislative process she’s been studying.

She brings that same curiosity to her work here as a Civic Media Specialist, where she focuses on closing the gap between the people making decisions and those affected by them.
